A small set of low-cost water quality indicators, combined with a Random Forest classifier, can reliably predict Water Quality Index categories in Nuevo León, Mexico, offering an affordable alternative to full laboratory testing.
Adding a topological data analysis view derived from persistent homology to a multiview stacking model consistently improves digit classification accuracy on MNIST, even with very limited training data, by capturing global structure that spatial features alone miss.
